Should I just give up?

Our Take: The Fierce and Fabulous Quest for Fuller Brows

Ah, the brow saga. It’s a tale as old as time, or at least as old as the early aughts, and it seems our Reddit friend, u/mediocre_rain89, is deep in the thick of it. Twenty-three years of brow-battles? That’s a commitment, a true testament to the enduring power of a good arch (or, in this case, a desired one). We’ve all been there, seduced by fleeting trends, only to find ourselves staring in the mirror years later, wondering where those glorious natural caterpillars have gone. It’s a relatable chaos, this journey of beauty aspirations versus reality, and it’s precisely the kind of unfiltered, yet utterly chic, predicament that sparks our interest.

The desire for a fuller brow is, dare we say, a universal aspiration in the world of glamour. It’s the frame for our faces, the silent communicators of our moods, and a crucial element in that effortless, high-fashion comedian vibe we all secretly covet. Watching this play out, from the initial plucking oblivion to the current oil-rubbing, growth-watching ritual, is a masterclass in perseverance. It’s not about perfection; it’s about the process, the commitment, and the sheer humor in the struggle. We admire the honesty, the admission of "two hairs for a whole brow," because that's the kind of candidness that makes luxury feel accessible and the pursuit of beauty feel like an adventure, not a chore.

So, should u/mediocre_rain89 give up? Absolutely not. This isn't about a perfect brow; it's about embracing the journey, the slow but steady progress, and the empowering spirit of trying. The current brow situation might be a delightful mess, a testament to the wild ride of beauty experimentation, but it’s also a sign of resilience. Keep rubbing those oils, keep observing that slow growth, and remember that confidence is the ultimate beauty accessory. Perhaps the real lesson here isn't in achieving a specific brow shape, but in the sheer, unadulterated humor and relatable chaos of trying to get there. And for that, we applaud.

At one point, I swear I had two hairs for a whole brow!!! I did this for years. It wasn’t until 2010 that I started trying to grow them back. I kept giving up and plucking them off. So it’s been a vicious cycle for 23 years. Once 2020 came, I used lockdown to try and grow my brows back. And I definitely made progress. I didn’t touch them for…
