Tips to get this 60s look!

Our Take: Channeling 60s Glamour, One Liner at a Time

Okay, PerfumeCandyDream, we hear you loud and clear! The allure of that iconic 60s siren, with eyes that could launch a thousand ships and a glow that whispers of sun-drenched afternoons, is practically a fashion commandment. And let’s be honest, who among us hasn't dreamt of channeling our inner Marlo Thomas or Priscilla Presley, especially when the mercury rises and the desire for a golden goddess vibe takes hold? It’s a look that’s both playful and powerful, a true testament to how a dash of glamour can completely transform your mood and your entire aesthetic. We love that you’re ready to ditch the winter vamp for some summer sunshine, and this particular 60s moment is a masterclass in making bold choices that feel utterly chic.

That lightened under-eye area, paired with that dramatic liner and lash combination, is pure magic. It’s the kind of detail that elevates a whole look from “nice” to “unforgettable.” Think of it as your secret weapon for achieving that wide-eyed, innocent-yet-sultry gaze that defined an era. The trick, darling, is all in the execution. For that luminous under-eye, we’re talking about strategically placed concealer or a brightening powder that doesn't crease. It’s about creating a canvas that draws attention upwards, making your eyes the undisputed stars of the show. And the liner? This isn't the time for timid whispers. We’re talking a confident, bold flick, a statement that says, “I’m here, and I’m fabulous.” The key is to play with the thickness and the angle to best complement your eye shape, much like those legendary leading ladies of the silver screen.

As for achieving that coveted bronzed glow, it’s all about embracing the illusion of a perpetual vacation. While we can’t bottle actual sunshine, there are some truly stellar products out there that can give you that radiant, sun-kissed effect without the UV damage. Look for formulas that offer a natural, buildable color rather than an overly orange or muddy tone. The goal is a luminous warmth, a subtle shimmer that hints at time spent lounging by the Mediterranean. When paired with your expertly defined eyes, this golden glow becomes the perfect counterpoint, creating a harmonious and utterly captivating silhouette. It's this blend of a daring eye and a radiant complexion that truly captures the spirit of those 60s icons, proving that a little bit of thoughtful artistry can unlock a whole lot of confidence and glamour.

From Beauty

I just adore the light under eye and liner technique. Is there any product recommendations or application advice for the that light under eye and bold eye liner/lash? I have similar features to Marlo Thomas (same hair, eyes, skin tone)

In the winter I do a pale vampy 50s glam (red lip, simple wing liner, arched brow) but in the warmer months I adore a good fake tan 60s look! (Fake tan recommendations would be most welcome, too!) Pricilla Presley/Sharon Tate type.
