Curly Enough for a Curly Cut?

Our take

Curly hair can be a journey, and it sounds like you’re ready to embrace yours! If you're contemplating a curly cut, understanding your hair type is key. Many salons suggest a minimum of 2B curls for this style, but it's all about how your hair reacts to humidity and products. Thin, fine hair that frizzes can still have a unique curl pattern waiting to be unleashed.

I am at the beginning of my journey to embrace my natural hair. I’m still very much in the experimental stage as far as figuring out what products work for and have been unable to make myself stop brushing my hair after the shower, but what I’d really like to do is get a curly cut so that I can really see what I’m working with.

My hair is thin/fine, frizzes easily, and fairly long. The salons near me say you have to have a minimum of 2B curls for a curly cut. Do I have that? I’ve never been able to tell.
