Does The Ordinary lash serum cause side effects? Has anyone tried it?
Our take
Are you curious about The Ordinary lash serum and its potential side effects? Many lash serums are notorious for causing orbital fat loss, a concern for those already struggling with hollow under-eyes. This is why I’ve hesitated to try lash serums, despite purchasing The Ordinary version, which reportedly lacks the ingredients linked to this issue. I’m seeking reassurance: can anyone share their experiences with The Ordinary lash serum? Does it genuinely avoid causing orbital fat loss? Your insights would be invaluable!
I know a common side effect of many lash serums is orbital fat loss.
i already struggle slightly with hollow undereyes and so I avoid lash serums because of this.
I read that The Ordinary lash serum does not have the ingredient that causes this side effect, so I purchased it to try out.
However, I still haven’t used it on my lashes because I’m very paranoid about the orbital fat loss side effect that many other serums have😭
I just want to make sure, the Ordinary lash serum will not cause this side effect right? Has anyone tried this product yet?

- the ordinary lash serumi’ve recently noticed that the darkness around my eyes has increased a bit, and the only change i’ve made is using the ordinary lash serum. i know it doesn’t contain prostaglandin, so it shouldn’t make my under-eyes worse, but could it possibly be from the lash serum? submitted by /u/lswanl [link] [comments]
- Lash serum side effect to reduce hooded eyes?Since orbital fat loss is a somewhat common side effect of lash serums, would that side effect potentially help with extremely hooded eyes (Ex. in someone older where it is/is almost impacting their vision and an eyelid lift would normally be considered)? Would the aging effect of orbital fat loss be extreme enough to make it "not worth it"? + would the exess skin still affect their eyes? I'm very curious because orbital fat loss as a side effect does seem like it could be beneficial in some ways but since it is usually an unexpected side effect it's typically negative, and most before/after photos show people who never had hooded eyes. Sorry if this post veers into too "medical", but very curious if anyone has any input! submitted by /u/FailNo5694 [link] [comments]
- best eyelash serumI’m deciding between Terez and Honor, the blue Babe Lash, and the Ordinary. I am trying to find a good prostaglandin free lash serum. I was using grande lash and noticed side effects such as orbital fat loss and dark circles. The weird thing is that i feel like I became immune to it or something because I have been using for over a year and it seems to have stopped working and my eyelashes are back to their original size. submitted by /u/Humble_Comparison_65 [link] [comments]
- Best Lash Serum? What’s the best lash serum you guys know? I’ve tried 3 at this point and haven’t been all too satisfied: 1) the ordinary lash serum— basically did nothing. felt like a placebo. 2) grande lash— irritated my eyes SO bad. made them red from my eyelid to under eye. also would wake up on occasion to bloodshot eyes so I stopped that. 3) latisse- no side effects like darkening of the under eyes and my eye color is basically black to begin with, so no problems there either. however, i feel like my eyelashes capped off. they grew very little and then haven’t grown since. I’m currently still using it but im looking for a replacement. what would you guys recommend? I need effective & non irritating. submitted by /u/Pretty-Mistake-1 [link] [comments]
