Embracing a rich forest and soil palette, I’ve fallen in love with the espresso linen and olive pleats for the office, inspired by the Velasca S/S 26 Lookbook.

Our Take: Espresso & Olive for a Polished, Natural Look

Okay, can we just talk about this espresso and olive moment? It’s giving us all the sophisticated, earthy vibes, and honestly, it’s a masterclass in how to do chic without trying too hard. While some might reach for bold primaries or predictable neutrals, the beauty of this look lies in its subtle, nuanced palette. It’s like the fashion equivalent of a perfectly brewed cup of coffee enjoyed on a crisp autumn morning – rich, warm, and utterly inviting. We love that the creator swapped out a stark white tee for a softer, creamier hue; it’s a small tweak that makes a world of difference, allowing the deeper espresso and olive tones to meld seamlessly. This isn't about shouting from the fashion rooftops; it's about a confident whisper that says, "I know what looks good, and I'm here for it." It’s that kind of understated glamour that feels genuinely relatable, proving that true style doesn't need to be loud.

The real magic happens when we look at the play of proportions and textures. The unstructured linen blazer is the perfect counterpoint to the high-rise pleats, creating a silhouette that’s both polished and effortlessly relaxed. It’s a thoughtful pairing that highlights how different fabrics and cuts can work in harmony, elongating the frame in the most flattering way. And those dark brown suede penny loafers? Chef's kiss! They add just the right amount of depth and tie the whole chocolate-brown theme together beautifully. It’s this attention to detail, this keen eye for how each element contributes to the overall picture, that elevates the look from simply "put together" to truly inspired. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the most impactful style choices are the ones that feel the most natural.

What we're really drawn to here is the spirit of confident experimentation. Leaning into a darker, more grounded palette, taking inspiration from a lookbook, and then making it entirely your own – that’s the essence of personal style. It’s about embracing trends, yes, but with a healthy dose of your own personality and flair. This espresso and olive combination is a testament to that; it’s not just about wearing clothes, it’s about feeling empowered and comfortable in them. The fact that this outfit felt great to wear all day is the ultimate fashion endorsement. It's proof that when you get the proportions right, the textures speak for themselves, and the color palette sings, you can conquer your day with both style and a whole lot of confidence. It’s a look that’s as ready for the office as it is for a leisurely weekend brunch, and we are absolutely here for that kind of versatile glamour.

From Fashion and Style

I’ve been leaning into this darker forest and soil palette lately (in the footsteps of the Velasca S/S 26 Lookbook) and this espresso and olive combo is one of my favorite versions of it.

The main goal was to keep the contrast low so I swapped a bright white tee for off-white/cream It makes the transition to those deep earth tones feel a lot more natural and ‘organic’.
