Expressive face woes

Our take

Oh boy, here we go! Sharing my expressive face woes on Reddit feels like an act of bravery. As a 34F nearing 35, I’m grappling with the reality of my very expressive features. Those under-eye folds, present since childhood, have deepened with every laugh and smile, transforming into pronounced crows feet. While my resting face is relatively smooth, my constant expression has me feeling self-conscious.

Oh boy I do not wanna upload my damn FACE to Reddit but here we are. 34F nearly 35.

I am burdened with a very expressive face. I feel like I have a lot of skin and it is catching up with me. I want a cute tight face that everyone else seems to have 😩

I’ve always had under eye folds (I guess not ‘wrinkles’ as I’ve had them since I was a kid) which are horribly pronounced when I laugh/smile. They‘re starting to turn downwards as you can see. Also deep crows feet. My eyes generally turn downwards and eyelids fold in when I laugh/smile and it makes me SO self conscious even when I’m alone. FML.

My face at rest has no real eye lines/wrinkles (see next photo) but my face is never at rest lol - expressive face syndrome.

I’m not on a mission to never move my face or have 0 wrinkles but I would like to lessen this if I can. I’m scared of filler (or anything really but especially filler). Would botox help the crows feet and downturned edges? Would anything else help?

Thanks!
