Eyebrow Tint Troubles: Burning, Shedding, and What Might Be Happening

Are you experiencing eyebrow drama after tinting?

3 min readBeauty

Oh, the eyebrow tinting saga! We’ve all been there, right? You’re aiming for those perfectly sculpted arches, that little bit of extra oomph, and instead, you’re met with a slight burning sensation and the not-so-glamorous shedding of precious brow hairs. It’s the kind of beauty chaos that can turn a confident strut into a slightly panicked shuffle. And let’s be honest, when your eyebrows decide to stage a protest, it’s hard to maintain that red-carpet-ready composure. You're expecting a touch of glamour, and you get a hint of irritation and a few stray strands. It's the unfiltered reality of beauty experiments, isn't it?

Now, the question of whether this is “normal” with a product like Just For Men beard dye is a good one. While we embrace the relatable side of beauty, there’s a fine line between playful self-deprecation and genuine concern for your well-being. The slight burning is a signal, and while some products might cause a mild tingle, it’s definitely worth paying attention to. And those falling hairs? That’s a whole other level of eyebrow drama we’re not here for. It sounds like your skin might be a tad sensitive, especially if you’ve just given it a good cleanse beforehand, which can strip away some of its natural defenses. We’re all about confidence, but not at the expense of comfort or, you know, having eyebrows.

So, what’s the take from the land of couture and comedy? When in doubt, always err on the side of caution. Your skin and your brows deserve a bit of TLC. While we love a good DIY beauty moment, some things might be better left to the professionals or at least require a patch test and a much gentler approach. Think of it this way: even the most elaborate haute couture requires careful tailoring. Your eyebrows are no different. We want you to feel empowered and fabulous, but that also means making informed choices that keep you looking and feeling your best. Let’s aim for brows that wow, not ones that cause a beauty emergency.

I have tinted my eyebrows 3 times now but everytime I tint them, there is a SLIGHT burning sensation when dye is on + 3-4 strains of eyebrows fall out after I wipe the dye off with cotton pad. Is it normal with Just For Men beard dye? I do make a mistake of washing my face w a cleanser right before tinting so the face is slightly sensitive
