Eyelashes growing in different directions?
Our take
Are your eyelashes staging a chaotic rebellion, growing in every direction and causing you frustration? If you’re dealing with tangled lashes that feel heavy or even poke you in the eye, you’re not alone. Many face similar challenges, especially with styes and ingrown lashes thrown into the mix. The struggle is real when eyelash curlers and mascara only seem to amplify the chaos. Fear not! There are ways to encourage your lashes to play nice.

| My eyelashes tend to grow in different directions. This drives me crazy because they either bunch together/get tangled and feel heavy, or stab me in the eye. I’m prone to getting styes and ingrown lashes (once on the inside of my lower lid that had to be removed by an ophthalmologist). Is there anything I can do to make them more cooperative? They don’t respond well to an eyelash curler, and they just kind of clump together if I use mascara. I am cosmetics naive but willing to try anything, please help. [link] [comments] |

- has anyone successfully made their lashes thicker/longer?Hi, i have naturally downturned, straight, short, thin lashes… i use to get a lash lift but it honestly never did much…. i tried lash extensions years ago and didn’t know there was different kinds aka clusters vs singles.. i had clusters they were WAY to heavy for my eyes and completely ruined my lashes when i asked them to remove them after 2 weeks instead of doing a refill… my lashes “grew back” as in they were still the short straight lashes i knew. I’ve tried grande lash but it was making my eyes red so i stopped before i could see results. My friend uses this tho and her lashes grew soooo long and pretty! I’m just worried because i have binocular vision dysfunction and I don’t know if it would mess with that! Recently in the past month i’ve gone back for extensions after YEARS of trying random serums from walmart.. or even a castor oil recommendation from my esthetician. nothing has done ANYTHING i’ve gotten my single lash extensions refilled once so far… but tbh it’s not even the money that’s the issue it’s more so time consuming and how often they get sparse!! sitting in a chair with my eyes closed for almost 3 hours every 2 weeks for $70. I’m also very worried about my nature lashes being completely ruined. I follow the care instructions but i can’t help but wish my natural lashes were thick and long!! before the extensions i have now i can curl them good with a curler as they are and add water proof mascara but they still just look stubby!! any recommendations? submitted by /u/MysticForestCat [link] [comments]
- Eyelashes have not returned, it’s been 3 years! One thing I always liked about myself no matter what were my eyelashes, they were so naturally long and curly. I was pregnant and going on holidays with my toddler, and my friend recommended eyelash extensions. Said it would look like I was wearing makeup when I wouldn’t have time to do it. They were gorgeous, but I got conjunctivitis the next day probably from my toddler and then didn’t realise how annoying they would be when they were growing out. I wasn’t given any aftercare instructions so without realising I shouldn’t, I pulled them off as the extensions grew out and loosened. I ended up with shorter natural lashes after this but thought would be fine as they’d grow back. But it’s been 3 years now and they have still not returned to their former glory. Does anyone know why they wouldn’t grow back to their former length? And does anyone know how I can get them to grow back to their former long length?? Please help :( submitted by /u/Specialist_Door_7965 [link] [comments]
- Help with growing eyelashesI’ve been using the sky high maybelline waterproof mascara for around a year— it was great for lengthening my lashes but was very very heavy and also super hard to remove properly, and over time i noticed my lashes had gotten way thinner and more sparse. I’ve been trying to grow my lashes out and get them to be super thick for a while and have tried almost everything (not super consistently but the effort was there). I’ve done sm research on how to grow them and have tried The Ordinary lash serum, Grande lash serum, Castor oil (didn’t try this one out for a long period of time though) , Vaseline and currently im trying out Australia Lash Therapy. I feel like I’ve not seen much difference in growth, and the only thing i feel I’ve noticed is while using Vaseline my lashes looked a bit thicker but that’s about it. Grande Lash serum did help with growth but it gave me horrible under eye pigmentation so i had to stop, and i recently got Australia Lash Therapy but it causes irritation if I put too much and I haven’t seen any result so far. I NEED to grow my eyelashes and get them thick, it’s so important to me as silly as it sounds 😭 im very heavy on mascara and not having big lashes makes me feel incomplete. Can anyone suggest an ACTUALLY reliable and good way to grow and thicken them? Please help 🙏 submitted by /u/gaslightgal [link] [comments]
