Face changes due to stress and anxiety
Our take
Hi!
In recent years, I’ve gone through a lot of difficult experiences in my life. I’ve dealt with a lot of chronic stress and anxiety, as well as fatigue/exhaustion and sadness. Last year, I went through a breakup that hurt me deeply, and since then I’ve felt unhappy and cried a lot for several months. My face has changed since that time, the area under my eyes looks more hollow, as if there’s less fat, and it seems like my face has sagged downward. I also look much older than before, as if I aged 10 years all at once. I’m 29 years old, and I don’t feel good like this. 😔
Despite all my efforts over the past few months to try to fix this (diet, supplements, marine collagen, skincare routine), I haven’t been able to get my old face back, and I don’t know what to do anymore.
Has this happened to any of you? Do you have any solutions to suggest? Do you think my face will go back to how it was one day, or is it unlikely without surgery/aesthetic treatments?
Thank you 🌸

- Lost weight face now agedHey all, So I've lost a little bit of weight, not loads but a couple of kg. 2/3 months ago, I was super happy with my face but this weight loss - I swear it's aged me 10 years. I've read all of the stuff on the net about it snapping back - age/ genetics etc. I'm 38. I take collagen. I was ageing well to this point. Does anyone have any experience of having a little loose skin on the face and it actually snapping back. Thanks in advance to everyone. I'm pretty miserable about it. I've lost all my confidence. submitted by /u/Unlikely-Patience-10 [link] [comments]
- Expressive face woesOh boy I do not wanna upload my damn FACE to Reddit but here we are. 34F nearly 35. I am burdened with a very expressive face. I feel like I have a lot of skin and it is catching up with me. I want a cute tight face that everyone else seems to have 😩 I’ve always had under eye folds (I guess not ‘wrinkles’ as I’ve had them since I was a kid) which are horribly pronounced when I laugh/smile. They‘re starting to turn downwards as you can see. Also deep crows feet. My eyes generally turn downwards and eyelids fold in when I laugh/smile and it makes me SO self conscious even when I’m alone. FML. My face at rest has no real eye lines/wrinkles (see next photo) but my face is never at rest lol - expressive face syndrome. I’m not on a mission to never move my face or have 0 wrinkles but I would like to lessen this if I can. I’m scared of filler (or anything really but especially filler). Would botox help the crows feet and downturned edges? Would anything else help? Thanks! submitted by /u/Yellow-squirrels [link] [comments]
- When I am stressed or tired from life, it starts making me look ugly. Anyone else? How can I conceal this better and prevent it too?I have noticed when I get very stressed or tired it obviously affects my appearance. I'm only 21 though and I want to keep myself looking good but the way I look sometimes... **Makes me think WHY EVEN TRY** but then there are days I look and feel beautiful. However I think I'm definitely maybe lacking that glow? You know when someone just looks fresh and truly glowing? It figures since I'm stressed a lot of the time, I'm going to find ways to manage it better but sometimes it's not rly avoidable I feel.. Oh and what's with the difference looks in different lighting?! The reason I think I may look dull is because at my home mirror, I will look beautiful and normal , some days I look very well. But then somerimes I'll see myself in day light lighting, and I noticed my skin somehow now has this weird bumpy texture on my cheeks that I literally NEVER notice or even feel?? And I just look less good, suddenly my pimples are more red too. I WOULD like to find a face cream or foundation that's LIGHT and breathable that'll basically provide a subtle coverage on my skin and brighten it up (I usually go for rly pale concealers for this effect but idk any good ones) However it also starts from within, ofc I want to also make myself shine from within. Are there any healthy eating or healthy habit tips that could help me with this? I know we will sometimes look more haggard that's life! But I feel it can be so often. I've even noticed this in others, there are just days we look better than other days! submitted by /u/xopearl_rosebudxox [link] [comments]
- Any tips or advice?I'm embarrassed to show my face and I keep crying. I saw an old photo of myself and I look terrible now. My nose looks bigger and my face looks rounder. My skin feels droopy and my eyes look small like my eyebrows are weighing them down. I am on the journey of losing weight but my skin and appearance look's terrible. Are there any tips recommendations anyone could help me with. I have acne, acne scaring and an oval face. I know this post is vague but if anyone is willing to help, I will post my face. I am open to any tip's makeup tips aren't preferred but I will take it since I like to stay natural. submitted by /u/Which_Result_1412 [link] [comments]
