Face changes due to stress and anxiety

Our take

Stress and anxiety can profoundly impact our appearance, often leaving us feeling aged and drained. One user, who has faced significant challenges, including a painful breakup, shares their struggle with changes in their face—hollow under-eye areas and sagging skin—at just 29 years old. Despite trying various remedies like diet adjustments, supplements, and skincare, they haven’t seen the results they hoped for. They seek advice and support from others who might have experienced similar changes. Has anyone found effective solutions or regained their youthful glow?

Hi!

In recent years, I’ve gone through a lot of difficult experiences in my life. I’ve dealt with a lot of chronic stress and anxiety, as well as fatigue/exhaustion and sadness. Last year, I went through a breakup that hurt me deeply, and since then I’ve felt unhappy and cried a lot for several months. My face has changed since that time, the area under my eyes looks more hollow, as if there’s less fat, and it seems like my face has sagged downward. I also look much older than before, as if I aged 10 years all at once. I’m 29 years old, and I don’t feel good like this. 😔

Despite all my efforts over the past few months to try to fix this (diet, supplements, marine collagen, skincare routine), I haven’t been able to get my old face back, and I don’t know what to do anymore.

Has this happened to any of you? Do you have any solutions to suggest? Do you think my face will go back to how it was one day, or is it unlikely without surgery/aesthetic treatments?

Thank you 🌸
