[Hair Removal] Kamiseta Skin or Wink? (Philippines)

Our take

Choosing between Kamiseta Skin and Wink for Brazilian laser hair removal can feel like a high-stakes fashion dilemma, especially when every peso counts. Kamiseta offers a tempting 10-session package for ₱25,000, while Wink's reputable service comes at ₱36,000—a hefty ₱11,000 difference. Both utilize the GentleMax Pro machine, but concerns about session effectiveness and long-term maintenance linger. Ultimately, the question is whether the reassurance of Wink's quality justifies the extra cost. As you weigh your options, consider long-term results and potential savings. Your

Please help a student choose: Wink (₱36k) vs. Kamiseta (₱25k) for Brazilian LHR? Is the ₱11k for Wink’s reassurance worth the long-term maintenance goal?

I'm currently stuck in a dilemma and could really use your help. As a student, I'm saving up from my allowance, so every peso counts, but I also want to be smart about my "long-term investment."

I know Wink's reputable reputation where results a guarantee, but Kamiseta's 50% discount is tempting.

The Dilemma:

• Kamiseta Skin: Offering a 10-session package for ₱25,000 (50% off). They use GentleMax Pro (the same as Wink) and also Splendor X for the same price.

• Wink Laser Studio: Their 10-session package is ₱36,000 (a ₱11k difference).

Why I'm overthinking:

  1. My goal: I've seen some Redditors mention that after finishing their Wink package, they only need maintenance once in every 1-5 years. This is my ultimate goal. I want to spend the least amount of money total over the next years (including the maintenance).

  2. Machine vs. protocol: I know both use the GentleMax Pro (the gold standard), but I'm worried that Kamiseta might use lower power settings to keep the sessions "comfortable" or fast to get it over with (even when doctors are the ones who do it). Whereas l've heard Wink's nurses are very practical/thorough with increasing the heat each session.

  3. The "First Sessions": I'm looking at this as a reaction—if the initial sessions aren't high-energy enough to fully kill the follicle, will I just end up spending more on maintenance later?

  4. The cost: I’m not doubting Wink’s reputation, but damn that ₱11,000 saving is really making me second-guess things. If the prices were the same, I’d choose Wink without hesitation. My biggest worry is that if Kamiseta actually provides the exact same long-term results as Wink, I’ll have essentially wasted ₱11,000 for nothing.

Questions for those who have tried both or either:

• For those who finished Kamiseta, did you actually reach a point where you only needed maintenance once a year (or more)? Or did the hair grow back faster than expected?

• Does anyone have experience with Kamiseta's Splendor X for Brazilian? Is it better for long-term results than the GentleMax Pro?

I'm trying to decide if I should save the 11k now or if "cheap is actually expensive" in the long run. Thank you!
