extra: i do set with powder and setting spray
HELP!!! i need a foundation that wont move on my combo/oily skin but also wont cling to dryness. i want something that sinks into the skin nicely and gives that skin-like finish. basically an everyday light-medium coverage. i tried the ILIA foundation stick (mostly cause the stick seemed interesting) and the color match (balsa 2C) was PERFECT but it still clung to dryness. im pretty fair and pinky/cool toned so sometimes finding a match can be pretty difficult. i liked the maybelline fit me matte foundation pretty well but id like something of better quality. if anyone has any reccos ill GLADLY take them. theres so many foundations to choose from, i dont know what to pick. also price tag doesnt really matter to me. THANK YOU!!

- Level Up Makeup for Oily/Combo SkinHi! I’m trying to level up my makeup for events, but still trying to get a natural look (if that’s possible). I tend to not be a fan of heavy makeup, but I’m trying to find something that might work for me. Skin type: - Combo: oily t-zone, drier on outer edges. Heavy makeup will make my entire face oily, like out to my cheeks. - visible pores on inner cheeks What I’m looking for: - medium coverage, but still looks like skin - better longevity. I don’t mind blotting or re-powdering later, but only once or twice, not every hour - more coverage for photos, but still natural in person. I’m also a photographer and I know heavier makeup shows up better in photos, but trying to find a balance Note: I like my current routine for day-to-day, but want something for coverage for events Current routine: - Dapsone (anti-bacteria for acne) - Cerave moisturizer - Trader Joe’s gel face sunscreen - Ilia Face Milk - ilia skin rewind complexion stick - Sephora setting powder - hairspray to set face for going out (don’t yell at me, it works so well) What I’m considering: - primer (one size or porefessional) - foundations (estee lauder double wear or Lancôme teint idole) - setting (Kryolan fixing spray and dermacolor fixing powder) Questions: 1. Best primer that works well with cream stick foundations AND liquid foundations? 2. Which foundation would you recommend for oily/combo skin that still looks natural in photos? 3. Blush recommendations that work well with this kind of base? (I don’t currently use one) Thanks!!! TLDR: Combo skin (oily T-zone, visible pores), currently using ILIA stick + simple routine. Want to level up to a natural, medium coverage look that lasts for events. Looking for primer + foundation recommendations submitted by /u/JuiceHeeHee [link] [comments]
- Best sweat-proof foundation for oily skin? What are some good foundations that are sweat resistant and suitable for oily skin? Someone’s taking me on Sephora shopping spree soon, and I know that a new foundation needs to be on my list. I just don’t know which one, because there are SO many on the market! I used to be a full coverage, super matte type of girl, but I’ve come to enjoy more medium coverage with a natural finish. Developers don’t seem to formulate these foundations with my skin type in mind though. 😭 Also, I’m a big girl and it’s getting hotter outside, so I want something that will stay on my face but not break me out. Any and all recommendations will be greatly appreciated! 💕 submitted by /u/Oddbox9072 [link] [comments]
- Foundation that looks like skin - Dior, nars, Chanel or something else?I’m on the hunt for my holy grail foundation, I’ve been going down the TikTok rabbit hole but there’s too many options to choose from! I want something light coverage, suitable for 30+ yr old, dry skin. Most importantly I want it to actually look like skin! The suggestions I’ve found so far are; Dior perfect skin stick, Chanel Les Beiges, nars light reflecting, refy skin tint, suqqu liquid, pat mcgrath skin fetish. Obviously these are all somewhat pricey, so I’m finding it hard to pick just one. Does anyone have any recommendations or opinions on the ones I mentioned? submitted by /u/Ok-Yellow-6009 [link] [comments]
- Makeup base not working.Sooo my skin is a combo skin, dry between the eyebrows but kinda oily at the forehead and MOSTLY on the nose, medium at the cheeks. I have some uneven skin (not obv) but have some acne scars Whenever I apply my cushion rn (unleasha) it always piles up or either mix in a way I don’t really like, it also have dry patches :(( Sooo I really want a cushion or a skin tint where it’s kinda light weight like my skin and also another cushion which is high coverage which can cover all my acne scars (if acne scars can’t be covered pls recommend me color correcting makeup) I also need a really nice powder finish for a good base!! Thank u!! **I have no budget** submitted by /u/future_medicinneed [link] [comments]
