I’m new and a little confused..

Our take

Hey there, skincare enthusiasts! Welcome to the world of skincare, where opinions are as varied as the products themselves. Our friend here is navigating the often-confusing landscape of routines and ingredients at just 18, dealing with acne, redness, and dryness. Currently, they're using a cleanser, tonic, moisturizer, and SPF from Plouise and La Roche-Posay, but they're unsure if these are the right picks for long-term results. If you have tips, product recommendations, or insights into this routine, your advice could make a real difference.

Hello everyone! I’m pretty new to skincare and have a hard time determining if my routine is good or not…

I’ve tried doing research but every person, every source and every piece of research I read seems to have different opinions on things.

Im 18 and I have some acne and redness on my cheeks that I want to improve. My skin is also very dry if I don’t use any products. I also rarely wear any make up.

In the morning I wash my face with the plouise foam and glow cleanser, I use a tołpa tonic, then I put on the plouise pump me pretty moisturiser and I apply la Roche posey spf 50.

And before bed I do the same thing but without the SPF of course.

I don’t know if these products are good long term. Online people seem to like them on blog posts but I’m scared those could be payed ads. I know the Plouise products are cherry scented but my skin doesn’t seem irritated by it?

Should I be using other things too? If anyone has any tips or recommendations I’d be very thankful. Thank you🫶
