Influence me- Dyson Airwrap
Our take
Hello! Considering a splurge on a Dyson Airwrap. Curious about your thoughts on if it's worth it, which model and why?
40/f and fairly low maintenance, always had good hair but no real blow drying skills and it's been feeling damaged/dry. Particularly some fried looking baby hairs at my temples. I have been using a Drybar round brush hairdryer which I think is pretty damaging. Straight thick hair with a bit of a wave to it, armpit length and color treated.
I don't see myself using all the attachments of the newest model Coanda2x (just the curling blowout look and the smoother along with hairdryer) but the idea of the 2x speed is tempting to splurge extra on the newest option. It seems big to travel with the case but supposed to be lightweight. Do I go for it, with any coupon code I might be able to find? How about a refurbished ID model from the Dyson site? Or the original basic one? How to get the best deal and know it will last? Or tell me if it is a huge waste of money!

- The Dyson Airwrap - should i use my work points to get it free or invest in something else?Good morning, Reddit! I’m looking for some advice on hair styling. I've been wanting to get into styling my hair more and am considering an airwrap system. I've done some research and found reviews on both the Shark and Dyson models, as well as some off-brand options. Recently, I discovered that I have enough points from work to get the Dyson Airwrap for "free" (it costs 3222 points, and I have 4300). I’m torn on whether it's worth spending that many points on the Dyson or if I should consider other options. Has anyone here used the Dyson Airwrap? Is it genuinely worth it? Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated! submitted by /u/CommercialTheme1339 [link] [comments]
- Blow dryer recommendation for frizzy wavy hair?I am on the market for a new blow dryer for my frizzy wavy and coarse hair, I recently purchased a Dyson air-wrap but I’m sure it was the learning curve I wasn’t in love with my outcome & due to the price I couldn’t justify the price tag. I do like the idea of it not being as damaging so I’d like something similar. If possible I’d like it to not be too loud and I found the Dyson to be a bit too high pitch for me which I did not like. One of the ones I considered was the Babyliss pro titanium blow dryer but I’ve used their straighteners before and they feel kind of damaging and seem like they’re meant more for the professionals so not sure that’s good for what im looking for? submitted by /u/patrickstarsrock2 [link] [comments]
- Elle Woods Blowout? So I work at Ulta Beauty and have accumulated a good chunk of points, planning to save them all for either a big shopping spree or expensive hair tool. Since I'm someone who doesn't typically do much with their hair outside of the shower and the salon, I felt getting a fancy hair tool probably wasn't the best bet for me. But recently I've been wanting to start blowing out my hair at home, specifically to get the look of Elle Woods' iconic blowout. Since my expertise is more in skincare and makeup, I was hoping someone who's good with hair would be able to tell me what I'll need to achieve that look at home? Specifically tools, products, and general technique. I'm willing to buy an expensive hair tool, so if anyone has recommendations please lmk! Dyson, Shark, Drybar, etc. For reference: I have 2B waves and high porosity hair! submitted by /u/TangerineSpritzz [link] [comments]
- Dryer Hair Brush RecommendationI currently use a traditional curler, and I think I'm outgrowing it. I want to start getting that blowout look with defined loose curls. I know Dyson is the one to rule them all, but I don't want to blow that much. I have fine and medium-thin hair. I would like a brush that blow-dries on 80% wet hair. Budget is $ 100- $ 200 CAD. Reddit, please recommend which one to get! submitted by /u/Trishfish196 [link] [comments]
