Lens Oops! Should I Clean & Reuse My Contacts After This?

Attention, contact lens wearers!

Okay, darling, let's talk about this little lens oopsie. You’ve reached out with a question that’s got us all leaning in, a true moment of relatable glamour meets everyday chaos. We've all had those "uh oh" moments, haven't we? The ones where you're staring down a situation and thinking, "Is this going to be a chic disaster or just… a disaster?" This whole contact lens conundrum? It’s giving me major "couture chaos" vibes. You’re in a bind, you’ve made a choice born out of necessity (we've all been there, reaching for the questionable bottle when the good stuff runs out), and now you’re faced with a visual you’d rather not see. That little bit of "gunk ig"? It's the universe’s way of saying, "Hold up, rewind that tape!"

Now, while my personal brand is all about embracing the unexpected with a confident stride, there are certain areas where a touch of caution is, dare I say, essential. Eye health? That’s one of them. Think of it like this: you wouldn’t wear a designer gown with a ketchup stain, would you? It’s about maintaining the integrity of the whole look, and in this case, the "look" is your precious vision. So, when it comes to those lenses and that slightly suspect solution situation, the advice is going to be a little less "playfully bold" and a lot more "smart and insightful." We’re talking about a situation that requires a bit of a pause, a deep breath, and a decision that prioritizes your well-being over a quick fix.

Our take here is pretty straightforward, even if the situation feels a bit messy. Those lenses, bless their little plastic hearts, have been through a bit of an ordeal. Reusing them after they've sat in less-than-ideal conditions, especially with visible debris, is a gamble you don't want to take. Think of it as an investment in your future glamour – because blurry vision is *so* not the look. It’s far better to embrace the minor inconvenience of getting new lenses than to risk a more significant, and far less stylish, eye issue. Sometimes, the most empowered choice is the one that says, "Nope, not today," and opts for a fresh start. So, while we love a good story of making do, when it comes to your eyes, let's lean into the fresh solution and a clear view.

i put my lenses back in used solution because i ran out. after about 10 days, i finally got fresh solution, but when i opened the case, i noticed some small debris (gunk ig) inside. is it safe to clean and reuse the lenses? :(
