Alright, let's talk about SPF. Because let's be real, we all want that glowy, protected skin, but the quest for a sunscreen that plays nice with our makeup can feel like navigating a runway in stilettos – a bit precarious. And when your skin throws a small tantrum with the occasional breakout, it adds another layer to the whole glamorous chaos. But fear not, fellow makeup enthusiasts and SPF hopefuls! Haley Kalil here, ready to dive into this very relatable dilemma with a healthy dose of humor and, hopefully, some solid insights.

The struggle is undeniably real: you've spent time crafting your perfect makeup look, only to have it slide off or pill into a patchy mess after applying your sunscreen. It's the beauty equivalent of a designer dress snagging on a rogue sequin. And the whispers about mineral versus chemical sunscreens? It’s enough to make your head spin. We're all looking for that magical formula, that "holy grail" product that offers serious protection without turning our carefully applied foundation into a blurry watercolor. It’s about finding that sweet spot where luxury meets practicality, where the glamour of a flawless face doesn't have to come at the expense of skin health.

So, what’s the secret? It’s not about perfection, but about intelligent choices and a little bit of playful experimentation. Think of it like finding the right accessories for an outfit – sometimes it takes a few tries to get it just right. We’re after that empowered feeling of knowing your skin is shielded, your makeup is intact, and you’re ready to conquer the day, whether it’s a red carpet event or just a busy Tuesday. It’s about embracing the journey, the occasional makeup mishap, and the ultimate reward of healthy, protected skin that glows from within. Let's find that SPF that makes you feel as good as you look.

I wear makeup almost every day so I would preferrably like to start using an spf more regularly under my makeup while protecting my skin.

Problem is, is that most SPFs ive tried cause my makeup to pill, so i hope to find that holy grail product that will sit nicely under my makeup. My skin also tends to break out at times but not too severely.. if anyone knows of a product, let me know 🙏🏼 I’ve also heard that mineral sunscreen is “healthier” than chemical so i’m hoping to find something like that.
