Neck Neglect: Are We Forgetting the Most Glamorous Area?

The internet, bless its chaotic, beautifully curated heart, has us all in a chokehold of facial perfection. We’re talking about serums that cost more than a weekend getaway, LED masks that could probably launch a small satellite, and routines so intricate they require a color-coded spreadsheet. And honestly? I’m here for it. The face is our billboard, our first impression, the canvas for all the confidence we’re building. But in this fervent pursuit of flawless skin from the nose up, has a crucial, dare I say *glamorous*, area been left in the dust? I’m talking about the neck and décolletage, darling. The often-overlooked zone that tells as much of our story as our smile.

I stumbled across a Reddit thread recently, a little corner of the internet where a sharp 32-year-old was asking the very question keeping me up at night (or at least, making me pause mid-serum application): are we giving our necks the same love as our faces? She’d gone and gotten herself a dedicated LED mask specifically for this area, a move I deeply respect for its commitment to the cause. But it sparked that familiar, slightly anxious thought: am I just adding another step to the chaos, or have I unlocked a new level of skincare empowerment? The fit of a dedicated mask *does* feel more effective, molding to those curves in a way a general face mask just can’t quite manage. It’s a prime example of how, when we’re aiming for peak glamour, we sometimes have to get a little… extra.

It’s a relatable dilemma, isn’t it? We’re all trying to navigate this ever-evolving landscape of beauty, balancing the aspirational with the utterly practical. We want to feel pulled together, from our meticulously styled hair down to our perfectly manicured toes. And for so long, the focus has been solely on the face. But as we age, as gravity does its thing, and as that sunscreen application might have been a *tad* more enthusiastic on the forehead than the chin, the neck becomes a silent witness. It’s time we give it the attention it deserves, not out of fear, but out of a desire for holistic radiance. Let’s embrace the full package, shall we? Because true glamour isn't just about what's in front of your eyes; it's about the entire picture, from your dazzling smile all the way down.

32f here and I think we are in a phase that we spend $ on our face but what about the neck and chest? i just got a dedicated Led mask for this area (I went that far) and now I’m wondering, did I upgrade my routine OR did i buy something I could’ve hacked with my regular face mask? it does feel more effective because of the fit though

Curious do you treat your neck the same as your face or is it an afterthought?
