Need lash advice help!
Our take
I have naturally straight, downward-pointing medium lashes with decent volume, but I struggle to maintain curl and lift. I’ve tried cluster lashes (Veyes manga set), and while they look great on day one, they start to fall flat by day two and become uncomfortable and itchy by day three or four, so I end up having to redo them frequently.
With mascara, I’m currently using Tartelette XL tubing mascara. It adds some length, but the result isn’t very noticeable and it doesn’t hold a curl, even after using a lash curler.
I’ve also tried lash extensions, but they’re quite expensive in my city, so they’re not a sustainable option for me.
I’m now considering trying a lash serum that really works but safe and free from side effects. I’d really appreciate any recommendations or advice based on your experience.

- has anyone successfully made their lashes thicker/longer?Hi, i have naturally downturned, straight, short, thin lashes… i use to get a lash lift but it honestly never did much…. i tried lash extensions years ago and didn’t know there was different kinds aka clusters vs singles.. i had clusters they were WAY to heavy for my eyes and completely ruined my lashes when i asked them to remove them after 2 weeks instead of doing a refill… my lashes “grew back” as in they were still the short straight lashes i knew. I’ve tried grande lash but it was making my eyes red so i stopped before i could see results. My friend uses this tho and her lashes grew soooo long and pretty! I’m just worried because i have binocular vision dysfunction and I don’t know if it would mess with that! Recently in the past month i’ve gone back for extensions after YEARS of trying random serums from walmart.. or even a castor oil recommendation from my esthetician. nothing has done ANYTHING i’ve gotten my single lash extensions refilled once so far… but tbh it’s not even the money that’s the issue it’s more so time consuming and how often they get sparse!! sitting in a chair with my eyes closed for almost 3 hours every 2 weeks for $70. I’m also very worried about my nature lashes being completely ruined. I follow the care instructions but i can’t help but wish my natural lashes were thick and long!! before the extensions i have now i can curl them good with a curler as they are and add water proof mascara but they still just look stubby!! any recommendations? submitted by /u/MysticForestCat [link] [comments]
- Lash serum journeyI am someone who suffers from OCD and part of it is pulling out hair and lashes.. (only with mascara on in my case) The before picture is just awful. Which is when I started using a lash serum (uklash at first). I have always had hooded eyes and I didnt care about loosing orbital fat, as I wanted more open eyes. The after picture is a year later (nanolash now). The length isnt as drastic, but the volume I have now is insane. I cannot recommend a lash serum more. I still sometimes pull my lashes, but less, because honestly they are so beautiful I often catch myself doing it and stop. But I am on the last drops of my nanolash bottle. So I am wondering what lash serums do you recommend? Which are preferably under 50$ (just pls not the ordinary one) submitted by /u/MeanCucumber1993 [link] [comments]
- best lash serums?hello! i’m trying to find a good lash serum, but i’m not which ones are the best. my lashes are somewhat short and fall out easily. i want them thicker and longer so it looks like i’m wearing mascara without mascara on. thank you! submitted by /u/Unlikely-Island-6757 [link] [comments]
- Asian lashes that when they get wet = stick straight. Are at home lash lifts safe? With lash clusters too?Hi! I have straight downwards pointing Asian lashes and I love my lash clusters. They look really good at first, but when they get wet, the curl almost completely disappears and they end up super droopy. Even when I curl them before & afterwards with my Shiseido lash curler they still end up droopy after washing my face/cleaning them, even tho I'm curling them well, and when they do end up slightly curled they droop really quick. They always end up covering my eyes a bit and just ngl a bad look cus they're so unlifted and it already takes me like an hour to put them on </3 So I was thinking about lash lifts maybe like every ~8 weeks ... but I've seen SO much people online talk about how DIY-ing them at home can be extremely harmful with the fumes. And since our eyes are so important it's got me second-guessing if I'd really want to do it. I don't really have anyone to help me with them, so I'd have to do it myself and I can't afford a professional lash lift. But oh man would my clusters look & feel so much better with lashes that maintain a curl.... I'd appreciate any advice... :"D submitted by /u/datavroom [link] [comments]
