Shaving rash on legs
Our take
Hey everyone! I’m reaching out for some advice on managing shaving rash on my legs. Since Christmas, I’ve been using an IPL device, which has been fantastic for tackling ingrown hairs from waxing. However, the downside is that I now have to shave twice a week, and my legs are not coping well. They’ve always been a bit strawberry, but the increased shaving has led to awful razor burn and ingrowns. I use shaving cream or conditioner, a men's razor, and a glycolic body wash.

| Hello alll, wondering if anyone had any advice. Since christmas ive been using an IPL device and its great! I started because waxing intimately just wasnt working for me with ingrowns etc. Thats all fixing now BUT the problem, you have to use it twice a week, which also means shaving twice a week. Everywhere but my legs can handle it. My legs have always been a bit strawberry but since im shaving so much now the razor burn/ingrowns are awful I use shaving cream or conditioner; a mens razor and a glycolic body wash. Any help? - Advise on hair removalI never had a problem with shaving my legs but it’s been an issue for more than a year now & it irritates my skin after I shave. I have tried exfoliation (with gloves & chemically) moisturizing, men razors, regular women razors, and single blade razors. And different types of shaving cream. I get super itchy and irritated . Should I just take the loss and just wax now? submitted by /u/Other_Resolve9026 [link] [comments]
- Looking for products that can help in reducing strawberry legsI’m facing ingrown hairs, and lately they’ve been increasing a lot. I honestly don’t know why. If anyone has used any product or method that helped reduce or get rid of them, please recommend it. They’ve really started affecting my confidence. Edit: I don’t shave my legs, I usually do Rica waxing. Currently, I use Bodywise 10% AHA scrub once or twice a week, Bodywise 5% lactic acid lotion daily after shower, and Bodywise 1% salicylic acid body wash on alternate days. Still not seeing much improvement though. submitted by /u/Solid_Ad4781 [link] [comments]
- strawberry legs/shaving tipsI grew up only using an epilator and nair. Even then, I just had hairy legs 90% of the time because I didn't care. As an adult I realized I feel much better with smooth legs (thighs and all). I have fair skin + often appear speckled after shaving. Similar, but different, i have lil blood spot/freckles on my arms and chest as well that isnt a hair issue. My legs are super smooth after shaving, and then a a day or two later are prickly. Some info on my routines: I shave once a week, sometimes twice a week. This plus stretch marks and constant bruising, I am so self conscious about my legs. I do use a dry brush twice a week and ocassionally the versed buff it out aha exfoliator. I have to be mindful because i have chronic hives (to the point of needing injections). I also change out the blades of my Billie razor every 10 or so uses and use a shaving oil. Any advice would be appreciated! submitted by /u/genuinebean325 [link] [comments]
- Itchy skinHello beauties! I have such sensitive skin after shaving and my legs itch so bad I’m literally bruising myself from scratching. I shave with moisturizing conditioner leftover, I’ve tried many different razors with no relief, and I moisturize immediately afterwards with aveeno eczema relief lotion. I do not have eczema but it was recommended. I’m just at a loss, I want beautiful smooth legs but I can’t if I’m scratching them up. Please help 🥺 submitted by /u/little-tangerine420 [link] [comments]
