Sunscreen

Our take

Hey, everyone! I've been using the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun (SPF 50+ PA++++) for about a year and a half, applying what I thought was a decent amount to my face, neck, and ears. Recently, I stumbled upon the advice to use at least two fingers’ worth of sunscreen just for the face, which made me second guess my routine. After trying that amount, my skin felt oily and it took forever to absorb.

Hi everyone, I’ve been using the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun (SPF 50+ PA++++) for about a year and a half now.

I usually apply what I thought was a decent amount to my face, neck, and ears - not tiny, but not heaps either. Recently I’ve been seeing people say you should be using at least two fingers’ worth of sunscreen just for your face, and now I’m second guessing myself.

I tried using that amount today, but it made my face feel really oily and took ages to rub in. It just didn’t feel right.

I’m also wondering—would applying that much sunscreen end up being too heavy for the skin and potentially cause things like milia?

I’d love to know what amounts other people actually use day to day, because now I’m worried I might have been under-applying this whole time. Especially living in New Zealand with such strong UV, I’d hate to think I haven’t been protecting my skin properly.
