The Great Concealer Hunt: Finding My Match After MAC's Disappearance
Has anyone tried MAC's Studio Fix 36HR Smooth Angles Concealer?

Oh, the sheer *chaos* of the beauty aisle! We’ve all been there, haven't we? Staring blankly at a wall of tubes and compacts, desperately seeking that one magical product that understands our specific shade of “barely there” skin. It’s a quest, a grand adventure, and for one brave soul on Reddit, the quest is for the perfect concealer. And let me tell you, the saga of MAC’s discontinued Studio Finish SPF 35 in shade NC10 is a tale that resonates deeply with anyone who’s ever felt the sting of a beloved product vanishing like a ghost from a runway show. It’s the kind of relatable glamour that makes you feel less alone in the pursuit of looking… well, like yourself, but a little more polished.

Our Reddit narrator has found a temporary ally in Estee Lauder’s Double Wear, but even that’s too precious for everyday full-face application, reserved only for those pesky under-eye circles that seem to have a life of their own. It’s a classic dilemma: when luxury delivers, but your wallet whispers, "Maybe just for special occasions?" And the struggle to find a new staple is real. The confusion over MAC's new Studio Fix shades, with a previous attempt in Studio Radiance falling flat (too dark, too orange – a fashion faux pas in concealer form!), highlights the frustrating inconsistency that can plague even the most iconic brands. It’s enough to make you want to throw your hands up and embrace the full glam chaos of a no-makeup day, wouldn't you agree?

This isn't just about makeup; it's about the confidence that comes from feeling put-together. It's the empowered feeling of finding that perfect match, the one that blends seamlessly and makes you feel ready to conquer the world, or at least your next Zoom call. So, to our fellow concealer hunters and those who’ve experienced the heartbreak of a discontinued favorite: we hear you. May your future makeup hunts be filled with less frustration and more delightful discoveries. And if anyone out there has cracked the code for an NC10-friendly, high-coverage concealer, please, share your wisdom! The community awaits.

From Beauty

I'm still searching for a concealer that matches my skin and provides good coverage after MAC stupidly decided to discontinue their incredible Studio Finish SPF 35 in the US. I'm NC10 in that concealer.

Double Wear Stay-in-Place 24-Hour Concealer by Estee Lauder (shade N1) is the best so far but it's too expensive to use on my whole face so I only use it to hide my dark under eye circles. I've tried other brands (too many to list/remember LOL) and they all either don't match perfectly or don't provide enough coverage.
