What should I do?

Our take

Navigating nail care can feel like a glamorous rollercoaster, especially after achieving your long-nail dreams only to face a setback. Losing the tips of your nails can be frustrating, but fear not! You have options to restore that fabulous flair. Whether you consider cutting all your nails short and starting fresh or returning to gel-x for a quick fix, embracing your unique journey is key. Remember, salons are there to help, and there's no need to feel ashamed.

I’ve been a dedicated user of gel-x and acrylic nails for years. Over the past few years, I’ve been determined to grow my nails long. Finally, I achieved that goal, but unfortunately, two of the tips of my nails broke. Now those are short again. I recently switched to builder gel a few months ago and am currently wearing it. I’m at a loss for how to fix this at a salon. Should I just get all my nails cut short again and start over? Should I get gel-x again? I’m devastated. My nails look terrible, and I’m a bit ashamed to go to a salon with their current state.
