Will the 40+ crowd give me some recommendations on YouTubers (or other videos) to watch?

Our take

Are you in your fabulous 40s and seeking makeup inspiration that embraces a more natural, effortless look? You’re not alone! Many are looking for YouTube recommendations that focus on enhancing beauty without the heaviness of a full glam routine. While “light” makeup tutorials often overload on products, you deserve tips that cater to your needs—think basic eyeshadow, blush, and lip lining that won’t leave you caked in product. Let’s gather some relatable suggestions to help you feel confident and empowered in your makeup journey!

I never put a ton of work into studying makeup application, but I’ve been trying to take steps to help me feel better about my appearance lately. I am not on TikTok. When I look up videos on YouTube, they say “light” makeup, but they’re painting on primer, foundation, powder, all the product, and setting spray. Any recommendations, assuming decent skin (I don’t need a ton of primer or foundation + powder), for just good tips? Looking for basic eyeshadow, blush, lip lining, etc without caking things on.

My apologies, this probably seems like a basic question. I really appreciate everything I’ve already learned from the active posters in this sub.
