Do disposable cameras still have the same "look" today that they had in the 90s?

I'm going on a "low-tech" date with my wife, and we'll be picking up a disposable camera from Walmart. I have experience scanning negatives, but none that have been taken in recent years. Can I expect that same nostalgic "look" in the developed images of a modern day disposable camera that we all miss from the 90s?
