I was on low-dose Accutane for nearly two years and it solved my comedones, blackheads, whiteheads, sebaceous filaments, oily skin, large pores, flat head hair, ingrown leg hairs, forehead lines, milia, overgrown cuticles, scaly heels and elbows, and rough “I don’t know what this texture is” on the backs of my arms. Trawl the internet a little further, and one would see it also has enormous success against rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, and keratosis pilaris. Models and celebrities micro-dose it. Hell, even the dermatologists, who oft upsell other expensive acne treatments, take Accutane themselves.

The narrative is slowly shifting. Accutane can be administered entirely via telehealth, like in my case. There are different dosing protocols depending on severity, and the microdosing side effects are very minimal. My only regret is not having done it sooner, because now I have all the skin scars to deal with.
