February Mom and Daughter Vacation Ideas Needed
I, turning 40f want to go on a trip with my mom 80f in February 2027 to celebrate our birthdays, coming from the US.
Budget ~10k per person.
- looking for a 7-18 day trip, with 14 days being a sweet spot
- Mom can walk about 3 miles a day and needs an afternoon lay down, and is slowing down so a less active/mobile trip is necessary (eg she will not be ziplining or biking!)
- Mom is very well travelled but less comfortable with non-western amenities (likes soft beds for example) and wouldn’t want to ‘rough’ it. (she has high standards)
- I love snorkeling (Mom does not)
- Mom loves history and learning about places and things like temples and archeological tourist sites. (I enjoy them a little but not every day)
- Weather has to be on average over 70*F daytime for February
- Don’t want to change hotels a lot. (4 nights at a location minimum)
- Mom loves cruises (and I enjoy them), so we’re open to this possibility
- Both of us love food Mom will eat anything, but I am gluten intollerant (I can tollerate soy sauce with only minor suffering though, so don’t want to completely rule out asia)
- We circumnavigated Taiwan last year and while we had a good time and enjoyed the food and sites, it was way too much moving around and tiring planning transportation and moving every 2-3 days, and it was too much walking for my mom.
- When we were younger we did a cooking vacation in a Mexican puerta vallarta where we had cooking classes everyday then spent the evenings in town. We both enjoyed this a lot.
- Want this to be special/unique location/experiences
For this trip I am not interested in Panama Canal, Galapagos, or Antartica.
Suggest me place(s) or tour/cruise to go on, I want this to be special and memorable for both of us!
