A journey to Annapurna Base Camp, spring 2026

| No doubt the best trip of my life. Came from the tropics so I have never seen snow before. Seeing snowy Himalayan mountain peaks was a magnificent experience. Took us seven days to trek the entire Annapurna Base Camp route. Was stuck in a snowstorm at the base camp but weather was otherwise okay, a lot of hail storm and snow storm above 3,000 meters, but visibility was okay down below. The Nepali and Gurung communities are some of the most friendliest people I have ever met in my travels. Always full of happiness and warmth, despite the freezing mountain cold. Felt like home for me. What a country. Pic 1: Start of the trek in Samrong All photos shot on iPhone 17. [link] [comments] |
