Upgrading to no-gear
No questions and no point to this story, just sharing for your entertainment.
Couple of years ago I got myself a Sony A6300 while I was still a student. Scored it for about 500€ used and loved it all the way. I don't think I'm a great photographer but I think I got some nice shots out of it through the years and I had lots of fun trying out manual lenses and such.
Recently, I decided to spoil myself for submitting my thesis. So I bought a A7RII for 550€, used in good condition. Seemed like a no-brainer deal to me. I was super excited until I discovered that some of the buttons were not working. The seller offered to try to fix it for me, and a week later I got an update that it works now! Since my older brother was going on vacation and showed some interest in cameras and taking pictures, I decided to gift my old beloved camera to him. Then, I received the repaired A7RII only to discover that while the repair guy greased it up with his fingerprints, he didn't actually fix anything.
Now, I have 0 cameras and I just boarded my flight for a 6 months adventure abroad. Guess I'll stick to phonetography for now.
