Creating a photography page for Facebook
TLDR: How to approach posting content on personal accounts, facebook pages, and facebook groups without appearing as spamming content? What are the pros and cons of making a fb seperate page or turning personal profile into page?
I am currently an amateur hobbiest. However I want to make a photography page for my work. I don't have high expectations of monetizing, although it would be cool if some of my photos did eventually sell as prints or to news outlets. Mainly I just want to share my passions with others in a creative/educational way. My niche is outdoor photography. I mainly take photos of storms/weather, wildlife, and birds. I don't know the best way to go about doing this. I have heard there is an option to make my personal profile into a page and then theres also the option of creating a seperate page. Then I think theres a third option of creating a seperate page and THEN linking the page to my personal profile. Correct me if I am wrong.
I am already a part of some public and private groups that I share my work in on fb. I also like having all of my professional work on ny personal page so my family and friends can all see what I am working on. If I want to create a page for more reach, how do I not post a ton of the same content to the same people a bunch of times? I don't want to just be spamming the same content over and over again to family and friends. I already know that if the group is public and I share a post there, my friends on fb can all see it again. I have seen people before just only post their work on their photography pages and then share that page post to their personal profile. However then those photos will not appear in my personal facebook photo albums like I want them to.
I don't even ever really post anything on my personal profile other than my photography and occasionally commenting on friends or family member's posts. I am wondering what the best option for me might be considering I want more reach, but don't want to be annoying to all my personal friends and family members. I also collaborate with other content creators sometimes and I don't want to be spamming content on their profiles either if I tag them on both my personal and professional pages and groups etc.... This is all very confusing trying to navigate and I am wondering how other people are choosing to approach it.
I have an instagram account that is doing terribly and never shows anything to anyone other than my followers because instagram does not favor photography or landscape content anymore and I don't really vibe with reels at all. Maybe I am preeching to the choir here, lol. So thats mainly why I want to consider the fb page. I will continue posting my photos to instagram to continue building it as more of just a portfolio and a back up. But I have kind of given up on trying to continue to gain traction through that. Maybe I can just link my instagram account to the facebook page. Any tips are welcome on posting to the fb algorithm, as this is all new to me.
