Brown or pink hair?
Our take

| Hello! I need a hair color advice. 🥹🙏 The LEFT picture is me now and the RIGHT me at 19 years (4 years ago). I have my natural hair color at the moment, because everyone suggested I would look the best like this. Over the years, I’ve had almost all colors in my hair… and yet I still felt unhappy with myself. I am still ‘crying’ and ‘mourning’ over my pink hair phase, because it was the only period of my life when I felt truly confident. It’s been 4 years and I haven’t gone back to that color, because of my job (I own a business in education in Eastern Europe and the parents are very judgy. I feel like I’d ruin my public image and they’d stop buying my products). I dont like the conventional hair color I have at the moment (my natural one), because I don’t feel like myself. At the same time, I wouldn’t go back to half pink half purple, because it is too much. I would like to perhaps try a lighter pink, without any other colors. In your opinion, since you’re seeing me for the first time and you are objective, which color suits me the best? My natural one (left) or should I try a light pink (like the one on the right, but without the purple)? I would truly appreciate your input. Thank you! [link] [comments] |

- Hair color adviceI have an appointment booked tomorrow to see if I can fix my hair. But I wanted to check with some groups on Reddit to see if there’s something specific I should be asking for. For the last few years, I’ve been dying my own hair and I was doing it too dark so of course layer upon layer it ended up being black and looks terrible on me. In the past two weeks, I have done a color oops myself. Then a neighbor, who is a hairstylist, did two “bleach washes“. She used some sort of powdered bleach mixed with some high-end shampoo conditioner and some sort of mask concoction. After the second bleach wash she did put color on my hair. I told her I wanted it to be maybe a medium brown but it’s now red and I hate it. I have never had bleach in my hair in my entire life and I’m 51 years old so this is all new to me. I do not want to go back to a dark brown/black. My ideal color would be a light to medium brown, but I don’t think that’s possible at this point with the way my hair looks. So I’ve included two pictures of what it looks like now and a picture of what I maybe like it to look like in the future. Help! (I think red hair is beautiful. My sister has reddish hair. I just don’t like it on me. I am a very basic person and I just want Brown 😂) submitted by /u/AssumptionSure6171 [link] [comments]
- How to find ideal hair color without AI?Hello! I have had a few different hair colors over the years (copper, very dark brown, platinum blonde etc) and have been told I look good in each of them. For the last two years I have been growing out my natural hair and getting highlights every now and then. I don’t like how I look as a blonde and don’t like how I look right now with my natural hair color, I need a change. I just don’t want to regret it and am trying to be more conservative about it, and think it over for a while. But I have been itching to do something for months. My skin tone is quite fair and is cool toned (somewhat neutral as well). My esthetician says my face is a heart shape, so do with that what you will. My natural hair color is level 7 blonde according to my hairdresser. I have attached a few photos to show what I look like and maybe you can help. I do not use AI so I wanted to consult here. - How realistic/ unrealistic is it to get to a color like in the third pic?Hi! I was super unhappy after I paid a bunch of money a while ago for balayage. The salon took maybe 5 minutes to paint some bleach in and I left paying almost 300 bucks with reddish hair after asking for something else. I know darker hair will have brassy tones. So my question is, is it worth it going to another salon? I already told them that I used hair dye (I know bad idea, but the red was making me go crazy, even though now it’s still red). She said she’s not sure if she’ll get it to be like the picture the first time. The thing is I am not happy with color. But I also might still be unhappy after the next visit so maybe I should save my money that I worked for. Even if she does this successfully will it become red or brassy quickly? I also think the red tones or orange tones look bad on me. I’m quite pale but have some yellow undertones and warm mess should in theory work on me but it doesn’t. Maybe it clashed with my ashy eyebrows. submitted by /u/No-Reaction6621 [link] [comments]
- I can’t decide which hair color suits me betterUntil about three years ago I used to dye my hair blonde, but unfortunately I can’t find any other decent photos of it (😂). I just can’t decide which hair color would suit me best. This blonde (even though it had already grown out here) washed me out, it didn’t feel like me either. But this very dark brown doesn’t feel right either — many times I feel like it ages me or just makes me look a bit dull. I’ve been thinking about trying a teddy blonde too, with just some lighter brown pieces added. I really don’t know. submitted by /u/felhocskee [link] [comments]
