Desperate for hair tool recommendations
Our take
Hello, everyone
I need so much help with hair tool recommendations. I feel like the amount of options is frying my brain. I'm looking for a blow dry brush (something that dries from wet and comes out straight) as well as a high speed blow dryer used with a blow out brush. I've been bombarded with so many ads from TYMO, WavyTalk, Shark, L'ange, Drybar etc and would love to know your experiences with these brands or others you've tried.
A little bit about my hair:
I have FRIZZY high porosity 2c/3a curls that are pretty damaged at the ends. On the longer side and medium thickness. I wash my hair once a week in the morning (usually Sunday), let it air dry for hours, and then straighten it (I've never found a way to embrace my curls). The whole process has gotten really tedious and I'm looking to make it quicker or more efficient.
Any advice/experiences/recommendations would be so great! Thanks a bunch

- Elle Woods Blowout? So I work at Ulta Beauty and have accumulated a good chunk of points, planning to save them all for either a big shopping spree or expensive hair tool. Since I'm someone who doesn't typically do much with their hair outside of the shower and the salon, I felt getting a fancy hair tool probably wasn't the best bet for me. But recently I've been wanting to start blowing out my hair at home, specifically to get the look of Elle Woods' iconic blowout. Since my expertise is more in skincare and makeup, I was hoping someone who's good with hair would be able to tell me what I'll need to achieve that look at home? Specifically tools, products, and general technique. I'm willing to buy an expensive hair tool, so if anyone has recommendations please lmk! Dyson, Shark, Drybar, etc. For reference: I have 2B waves and high porosity hair! submitted by /u/TangerineSpritzz [link] [comments]
- Blow dryer recommendation for frizzy wavy hair?I am on the market for a new blow dryer for my frizzy wavy and coarse hair, I recently purchased a Dyson air-wrap but I’m sure it was the learning curve I wasn’t in love with my outcome & due to the price I couldn’t justify the price tag. I do like the idea of it not being as damaging so I’d like something similar. If possible I’d like it to not be too loud and I found the Dyson to be a bit too high pitch for me which I did not like. One of the ones I considered was the Babyliss pro titanium blow dryer but I’ve used their straighteners before and they feel kind of damaging and seem like they’re meant more for the professionals so not sure that’s good for what im looking for? submitted by /u/patrickstarsrock2 [link] [comments]
- Dryer Hair Brush RecommendationI currently use a traditional curler, and I think I'm outgrowing it. I want to start getting that blowout look with defined loose curls. I know Dyson is the one to rule them all, but I don't want to blow that much. I have fine and medium-thin hair. I would like a brush that blow-dries on 80% wet hair. Budget is $ 100- $ 200 CAD. Reddit, please recommend which one to get! submitted by /u/Trishfish196 [link] [comments]
- Good hair styling toolsI've been trying to find a good styling that would not completely damage my hair.so far I've come down to two option either a blow dry brush or a Straightener but I'm confused on which one to buy. I have fragile fine curly hair so please help me decide what to get. Also please suggest some brands for either one of them and heat protectants. From my side here are advantages and disadvantages I see from both the tools. STRAIGHTENER Advantages: Fine styling Less breakage as it's not a comb like design Disadvantages: It's gonna have long term damage since it's strong and uses heat BLOW DRY BRUSH Advantages: Better for hair cause it uses air Healthier for long term Disadvantages: Would cause so breakage cause of the comb design submitted by /u/DowntownSignature326 [link] [comments]
