Shaving bikini area - need tips for that
Our take
Hey there, Julia! Navigating the world of bikini area shaving can be a real challenge, especially when sensitive skin is involved. Redness, burns, and bumps can feel like unwelcome guests after every shave. If you're considering a game changer, depilation might just be your answer, and laser shavers for home use are gaining popularity. They promise long-lasting results and less irritation. Let’s explore some tips and tricks to help you achieve a smoother, more comfortable experience while keeping your sensitive skin in mind.
Not only the bikini area really - i got sensitive skin all over and i haven't yet found the method to help me get rid of redness, burns and bumps after each shave. Could you please share some kind of game changer with me?
One thing i haven't tried is depilation. I'm thinking of buying one of these laser shavers to use at home, is it worth buying?

- Can you recommend me a razor (to prevent pimples after shaving)?I have sensitive skin (thin skin, I get bruises/ rashes & co easily, I get red allergy looking irritations when I change when shopping, my skin gets bad when I add too many products or use any products with perfume in it) and when I shave, I usually end up getting irritated skin with little pimples (I think you call them razor bumps?) I don't have any issues with razor cuts or with ingrown hairs tho and I feel like all sensitive razor products focus on those two issues, but I don't have them. Also, my routine is: Shaving every 3-4 days, I wash with mild body wash first under warm water, then shave and after I use the creave body lotion (the switch to this body lotion already helped a ton!). If anyone has/had the same issues, PLEASE recommend me a razor you like. The price doesn't matter to me submitted by /u/Illustrious-Ad-5891 [link] [comments]
- Opinions on vulv trimmer/shaver productswhat are your opinions on these devices? I'm looking to fix my public hair regularly. I got some laser sessions years ago but loosing the effect and I'm not planning on getting more atm. Therefore, my hair is growing faster. I use scissors currently but I barely fix the "anterior vulva commissure" I have used razors before on the bikini area but I get extremely itchy. Same issue with my armpits I try to shave them as few as I can to avoid irritation as I can but its difficult during summer it prevents me from using sleeveless outfits frequently. I just want the safest option for my labia under $40. Plus wondering... Does this model shaves or trims? is it good or bad? I saw good comments on a Philips, I just want to double check on that one and see if there's more options. submitted by /u/Kwira_ba [link] [comments]
- Shaving tips???Okay, I need tips on how to get smooth skin after shaving my legs and my armpits, because no matter what, I seem to be left behind with bumps, small hairs still left behind, and red blemishes… it’s so frustrating! I do pat my legs dry, and apply lotion, but I’m not sure if I should be putting anything on my armpits? I usually just apply my deodorant per usual, but let me know!!!! submitted by /u/DiscussionTrue8256 [link] [comments]
- I get ingrown hairs and red bumps whenever I shave, no matter what I do!I'm hate having body hair anywhere on my body. And since I'm a guy it always come in so thick and its annoying me. I mainly get bumps and such on my legs and butt primarily which causes me massive dysphoria. I've TRIED everything recommended to avoid bumpy skin after shaving but nothing works!! I exfoliate everytime I shave and shower, I use SA cleanser 2 times a day, I moisturize my skin after shaving with lotion, I use a new razor everytime I shave, I wear loose pants, I clean my bedsheets weekly, I wipe every surface I sit on daily with antibacterial sprays. And I STILL GET BUMPS, ACNE AND INGROWN HAIRS!! its getting to the point where I genuinely just want to chop my lower half off, I just want smooth and clear skin! Does anybody have any advice to help? Because Im going mad😭 submitted by /u/JB_07 [link] [comments]
