Skincare routine - How do I do with these products?
Our take
37F, skin prone to clogged pores, still don’t know what exactly is the order of applying these products.
I have the following I know:
Cleanser - obvious
Toner - I use it each time after washing my face to keep the sebum under control
Moisturiser - comes last
But then there are these:
Vitamin-C (or any other kind of serum) - before moisturiser but then there’s an uncomfortable layer on my skin
Sunscreen - comes after moisturiser or instead of it?
And what if you apply foundation? I’ve recently started using it and normally do it after moisturiser but what about sunscreen? Does it have any impact if I apply it under the foundation?
I don’t have any specific night care. Just once in a blue moon I apply argan oil.
Also, do you use cleanser every morning (nights are obvious) or is just water enough? I feel like it isn’t especially because of removing the remains of moisturiser but also feel like it’s kind of too aggressive to my skin.

- 25 and my skin looks ROUGH, help!!Hi! I am a 25F with skin that shouldn't look as bad as it does. Wrinkles on my forehead, lots of texture, and dark spots from acne. My skin is hard to read in terms of oily vs dry but it is acne prone and definitely can get dry at times and oily at other times. Right now, this has been my night routine for a few months. It hasn't been great in eliminating lines, spots or texture but my skin has felt more hydrated. - Round lab foam cleanser - Anua peach toner - Prescription tret - Cetaphil daily moisturizing lotion for dry sensitive skin I am ashamed to admit it but in the morning I usually just throw on SPF 50 and call it good. I have been doing some research but I am getting kinda overwhelmed with all the info I am getting. Would these be better routines to match my needs? Do any of these products interact? Night: - Ma:nyo pure cleansing oil - Vanicream cleanser - Byoma milky toner - Prescription tret/The Ordinary Azelaic acid suspension 10% cream, alternating every other day - Avene Cicalfate protective cream Morning: - Vanicream cleanser - Byoma milky toner - SPF moisturizer submitted by /u/ranch518 [link] [comments]
- What order to apply these? What the title says, I've just been kinda putting random ones on (obviously using the pads first always) but the rest have been random. A lot of days I skip the cerave cleansers. EDIT: I like the products I'm using, I've been using that face scrub for years as well as the toner pads with no issue and even get frequent compliments on my skin. All I was asking was what Order to use them in. While I appreciate the advice and recommendations, the order was all I wanted to know, thank you. EDIT 2: I do not have acne problems. The harsh products are there to get ride of excess sebum, it gets so bad my eyes hurt from the grease on my face. I used to only use the red version of the stridex pads back in high school and never had acne problems, never needed a moisturizer either. Ik I need one now though that's why I've got them EDIT 3: I have tried using only gentle products for up to a month and it made my acne worse. That's why the green stridex is even there. Again, I am not looking for advice on changing what products I use, just the Order in which to use them. Products I mainly use: toner pad, snail essence, vit c serum, spot corrector serum, (MAX twice a week) the face exfoliant, the differen spf and the night cream. I included everything because I wanted to know which ones were worth keeping or not. Not everyones face is like yours, sometimes gentle products aren't enough for someone. submitted by /u/princebear15 [link] [comments]
- Morning skincare routine?https://preview.redd.it/hoaq6x8t65xg1.jpg?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1c6e6d38622e80a1f6c731bb977f6725dc2674c3 Hi. I’ve been trying to improve my morning skincare routine lately and wanted to get into more K-beauty products. My skin is on the combination side, and I’m looking for something lightweight and hydrating that layers well under makeup without feeling heavy. I’m especially interested in a gentle cleanser, a good toner or essence for hydration, a simple serum (maybe vitamin C or something soothing), and a solid sunscreen since that’s probably the most important step for me right now. If you have any K-beauty products you really swear by, I’d love to hear your recommendations. I’m also open to hearing your full morning routine if you’ve found something that works really well. submitted by /u/Yinalovely [link] [comments]
- Need some advice on my skincare routineHi everyone, I’m new to skincare and haven’t really had a consistent skincare routine until recently so I wanted to get opinions on my current routine. I’m a 26 year old woman. I have normal to combination skin that feels balanced after cleansing, with slightly more visible pores and oil in my nose and inner cheek area. I don’t get much acne, just occasional small whiteheads, but I do have noticeable sebaceous filaments on my nose. I have some persistent redness around my nostrils that’s always there but not irritated or flaky. My skin has freckles and tends to develop more pigmentation in the sun, with some larger flat sun spots as I’ve gotten older. I’m starting to see mild fine lines around my eyes and on my forehead, especially when my skin is dehydrated, but overall my skin is pretty even and not very sensitive. Here is my current routine: Mornings: Cleanser→ Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser Vitamin C→ SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic Azelaic acid (nose / redness)→ Paula’s Choice 10% Azelaic Acid Booster Skinfix Moisturizer Supergoop Sunscreen SPF 40 Evenings: Retinol nights (most nights) Cleanser→ Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser Retinol→ CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum Skinfix moisturizer BHA nights (2x/week) (Monday and Thursday) Cleanser BHA (nose + pores)→ Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant Skinfix moisturizer submitted by /u/eveningcrimson [link] [comments]
