heatless curls
Our take

| I’ve been on a journey to make my hair healthy again , I recently bleached it a little bit , dyed it a light color and cut the split ends completely i would say my hair is pretty healthy right now but the thing is i stopped using heat on it and i’ve been doing heatless curls , they turn out really cute however the problem is i used to get keratin treatments to straighten my hair cuz my hair is naturally wavy so whenever i do heatless curls i could never get the top section of my hair to look good only the mids and ends look good the top of it just looks so messy and weird , does anyone have something similar going on or knows a technique that i could use for it to make it look blended and good? i usually do sock curls using this technique below [link] [comments] |

- Absolute basics for somebody who regularly heat styles and would like to start embracing curls?I have naturally wavy/curly hair. For the past 2-3 years, I’ve been blowing it out regularly and leaving it straight, so I likely have some heat damage. My natural hair type is 2C and fine. Now that summer is approaching, I’d really like to start embracing my natural curls, but don’t know how to anymore. I’ve tried brush styling and sectioning, and it’ll look really good at first, but then the curls will fall and it’ll feel all producty and limp. My current curl routine. I’ve tried this routine about 3 times, and can’t really get it to work. It looks good right after styling, but then the next day it’ll get all crunchy and weird. I don’t know how to describe it, the curls just fall out and then my hair feels very producty. I shampoo and condition with Redken all soft. Then, I section my hair into 3. In each section, I apply some of the Lush curl cream and a curl foam and brush style. When I’ve brush styled all 3 sections, I flip my hair upside down and scrunch in gel and heat protectant and diffuse. To sleep with my hair, I use 3 small clips and flip all my hair upside down. I clip my hair into a pineapple (I don’t like using a hair tie because it stretches out my curls), and then I cover my hair with a bonnet and also sleep on a silk pillowcase. submitted by /u/withmell [link] [comments]
- I tried heatless curls with foam rollers and didn’t expect it to work this well??So I randomly tried doing heartless curls this weekend using those foam rollers(the soft, squishy kind), and I’m honestly kind of shocked by how well it turned out. It only took me about 15 minutes to put them in after washing my hair, and then I just slept in them overnight. No heat at all, which I love because I’ve been trying to avoid damage. I’m sharing a few pics: What it looks like with the rollers in Right after I took them out in the morning After adding a bit of hair oil How it looked the next day And my natural hair for reference I didn’t except the curls to hold this well or look this defined without heat. Now I’m curious—do you guys think heatless curls can actually replace curling iron? Or are hot tools still way better in your experience? submitted by /u/BlowoutMama [link] [comments]
